Life is imperfect, and so are people.

That’s what makes life beautiful, unpredictable, worth living, and at times sad.

And that’s ok.

In therapy, I draw not only on my education and training, but also my full, emotionally rich, and often unexpected life experience. From having lived in New York, experiencing lots of loss and resulting grief, cross-cultural marriage, raising a teenager, and much more, I deeply understand the complexities life lays out for each of us.

Some say that you don’t have to experience something to relate and understand the other person. Maybe you don’t have to. But it definitely helps. And it makes for a darn good therapist.

Do you need to do things differently?

Is it time to stand up for yourself? For what you believe? For your family? For your relationships?

Is it time to heal? From traumas? Heartbreak? Hurts? Affairs?

Is it time to let go? Of what’s holding you back? Limiting beliefs? Fears? Relationships?

Is it time to grieve? Losses? Conversations? Relationships? Time you won’t get back?

What would healing do for you?

If you did just one of these, how would your life be different?

Therapy is what you make it.

What you get out of therapy is directly related to what you put into it.

You always have a choice and staying in your comfort zone is certainly one of them. But staying in your comfort zone may mean you remain stressed out, overwhelmed, and stuck.

In sessions, we will challenge the limiting beliefs that keep you stressed out, afraid to take action, stuck in limbo of sorts. And get you to a place where you feel centered, refreshed, confident, and empowered.

Therapy with me gives you the space and container to fully HEAL.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is deep work.

Whether we meet for 30 minutes or 5 hours, exploring and clearing the layers, complexities, and gunk that interferes in your life, that’s profound work. The result? Empowerment, deep knowledge of self, improved sense of self and relationships.

Not meant to last forever.

Therapy isn’t meant to last forever. We’ll clear out and address what needs clearing, so you can go live your life without the weight of what brought you to therapy. When you want to/need to come back, the door is always open.

Tailored to you.

Different life experiences call for different approaches to therapy. Each aspect of therapy is tailored to you and your needs - session length, interventions used, virtual or in person. And we tailor it together.

Private and discreet.

You can leave my office without going back through the waiting room, so you don’t bump into others. The choice of not accepting insurance protects your information from the prying eyes of insurance companies. And of course, what you share in therapy stays in therapy (ok, with some legally required exceptions).

My commitment to clients

An effective therapist is informed, compassionate, understanding, and attuned.

I stay updated on evidence-based psychotherapy research, pursue advanced training, and receive ongoing consultation with EMDR and couples/relationship therapy experts to provide you with the best care.
