Ready to take charge of your life?
I’m Ania Scanlan, LMFT
I’m a marriage and family therapist in Shoreview, Minnesota, and I specialize in helping you own your power, and find ease, connection, and healing in the process.
You’re a force.
You may just:
Know it, but not own it
Be afraid to own it
Not believe in yourself
Worry what it means for you to be truly YOU
Not know what it means for you and those in your life
Not wanting the responsibility of being a force
So you:
Stay small
Take on too much
Take responsibility for things that are not yours
Say yes when you don’t mean it
Overfunction in some areas of your life
Underfunction in other areas of your life
Ignore your own boundaries to make others happy
You need to do something different…
Is it time to stand up for yourself? For what you believe? For your family? For your relationships?
Is it time to heal? From traumas? Heartbreak? Hurts?
Is it time to let go? Of what’s holding you back? Limiting beliefs? Fears? Relationships?
Is it time to consciously grieve? Losses? Conversations? Relationships? Time you won’t get back?
What would doing all of these things for yourself do for you?
If you did just one of these, how would your life be different?
I can help you get there.
How I work
Therapy is what you make it.
What you get out of therapy is directly related to what you put into it.
You always have a choice and staying in your comfort zone is certainly one of them. But staying in your comfort zone may mean you remain stressed out, overwhelmed, and stuck.
In sessions with me, we will challenge the limiting beliefs that keep you stressed out, afraid to take action, stuck in limbo of sorts. And get you to a place where you feel centered, refreshed, confident, and empowered.
Therapy with me gives you the space and container to HEAL.
Therapy with me is:
Deep work.
We’ll explore and clear the layers, complexities, and gunk that interferes in your life, so you lean into the best you.
Not meant to last forever.
Therapy isn’t meant to last forever. We’ll clear out and address what needs clearing, so you can go on your way with less stuff. When you want to/need to come back, the door is always open.
Tailored to you.
We’re all individuals with different life experiences and different ways we experience life. Therapy is tailored to you and your needs. And we tailor it together.
Private and discreet.
You can leave my office without going back through the waiting room, so you don’t bump into others. The choice of not accepting insurance protects your information from the prying eyes of insurance companies. And of course, what you share in therapy stays in therapy (ok, with some legally required exceptions).
